Steve Grande Productions Presents: The South Jersey Comedy Festival!
The South Jersey Comedy Festival will be a two day comedy extravaganza featuring over of stand-up comedians and improv comedy troupes from August 16th-17th 2013. Since South Jersey is within a small radius of several metropolitan areas, it is an ideal location to celebrate these forms of live comedy. Each day of the festival will celebrate a different form of live comedy; at the end of each night, we will crown a new winning comedian or improv troupe, which will win the title of "Best Stand-up Comedian/Improv Troupe," and a CASH PRIZE! Every performer/troupe will be judged silently. The festival will take place at Harper’s Pub in Clementon, NJ ,in the heart of South Jersey. Here is a breakdown for each day:
Stand-Up Comedy Night: Friday, August 16th, 2013
The night will consist of 2 stand-up comedy shows. Each will feature 8 comedians showcasing their talents. Three judges will determine who had the best set for the whole night. Each comedian will have a total of 10 minutes to perform their routine. Below is a time breakdown for that night.

SPC’s Improv-alooza: August 17th, 2012
This will be an all day event filled with improv comedy! Notable performers of Harper’s Pub, The Second Place Champions, will host the event and introduce the other troupes. Each troupe (excluding SPC) will be competing for the honor of “Best Improv Troupe”. The day will 17 troupes compete, each performing for 20 minutes. Three judges will determine which troupe had the best performance, technique, and received the best crowd reaction. Here is a breakdown:

*The festival dates and times are subject to change. There is a possibility that all stand-up and improv shows could be held on 8/17/13, thus making it a one day festival if there are not enough submissions.

The South Jersey Comedy Festival is calling out to all comedic performers in the tri-state area and beyond to be a part of one of the most unique festivals in the area. South Jersey is filled with comedy fans that travel all over the metropolitan areas to experience live comedy. This festival will give the community an opportunity to see top notch quality acts come to them.
To submit for the SJCF 2013, performers are required to provide the information below and pay a nominal submission fee.* If accepted, all performers must buy an "All Access Pass," for $10, to be paid at the time of registration on the day of the show. The pass will allow you admittance to every show of the festival.**
* All fees to performers will go towards the cash prizes, advertisements, and expenses needed for the festival.
** We can only accept cash for the All Access Pass; an ATM is located at Harper's Pub, but a surcharge may apply for its usage.
Submissions will open on April 19th, 2013 and will end on July 9th. Regular Submissions take place between April 19th and June 16th ($10 per Stand-Up Comic, $20 per Improv Troupe). After that, late submissions will be taken from June 17th to July 9th ($15 per Stand-Up Comic, $25 per Improv Troupe). The sooner you submit, the better chance you have of getting into the festival.

Each performer’s $10 “All Access Pass” to be paid on day of festival.
Judging and Cash Prize:
For each day, we will have 3 comics judging each act. One of the Judges will be an expert in that field, another a member of the Second Place Champions, and the third will be another comedic performer. The amount of the cash prizes will be determined by the number of participating acts. In short, the more you tell your fellow comedians about the festival, the higher the cash prize will be!
